Huawei and OPPO announced a global patent cross-licensing agreement that covers 5G and other cellular standard essential patents.

In a separate development, Samsung has transferred 98 patents it holds in the US to Huawei as part of their cross-licensing deal. These patents cover a range of technologies, including telecommunications, charging, smartphone cameras, and display technologies.
